M&M Brookie Skillet

Ingredients

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1 egg yolk room temperature
  • 3/4 cup melted butter slightly cooled
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup melted butter slightly cooled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1 egg yolk room temperature
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp instant coffee powder optional
  • 3/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Instructions

  • Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a medium bowl, cream together melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, until light, creamy, and fluffy, making sure to mix in between. Add vanilla extract. Mix in dry ingredients stir just until mixed in, do not overmix! Stir in the chocolate chips. 

Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

  • Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, instant coffee and salt; set aside. In a medium bowl, cream together melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, until light, creamy, and fluffy, making sure to mix in between. Add vanilla extract. Mix in dry ingredients stir just until mixed in, do not overmix! Stir in the chocolate chips. 

To Make the skillet

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Take 1 cup of the chocolate chip cookie dough, and 1 cup of the double chocolate chip cookie dough
  • In a 6-8 inch cast iron skillet. Place 1/4 cup of each dough, alternating to create a "pattern."
  • Press down gently.
  • Top with as little or as much M&Ms as you like!
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes. Top with ice cream and chocolate sauce!
