Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Skillet

Ingredients

  • 3 medium bananas very ripe
  • · 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • · 1 cup granulated sugar
  • · 2 eggs
  • · 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • · 1/2 cup Old Home Greek Yogurt
  • · 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • · 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • · 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • · 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • · 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • · 8-10 chocolate squares

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas with a fork, leaving them slightly lumpy.
  • In another bowl stir together the butter and sugar. Mix in the eggs and vanilla and stir until smooth. Add the Greek yogurt, mashed bananas, baking soda, and salt, and stir until blended. Mix the flour in batches until incorporated.
  • Pour ½ the batter in a cast iron skillet
  • Place chocolate squares
  • Pour rest of the batter and top both chocolate chips
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes. Allow to cool.
