Two glasses of creamy lemonade.

Ingredients You Need

  • Lemons – Zesty lemons bring that classic, refreshing tang we all love in lemonade. You’ll need to incorporate all of the lemons, so slice them into quarters so they’re easy to blend.
  • Whole Milk – Whole milk adds a creamy twist, making the lemonade extra smooth and velvety.
  • Cold Water – Cold water helps to thin out the mixture.
  • Granulated Sugar – Just a bit of sugar sweetens things up and balances the tart lemons.
  • Ice Cubes – Fill glasses with ice to keep your creamy lemonade perfectly chilled.

How to Make This Homemade Lemonade Recipe

  1. Blend. Add the lemons, milk, water, and sugar to a high-powered blender and blend until completely combined, being sure to avoid overmixing.
  2. Strain. Transfer the mixture to a large pitcher by pouring it through a fine mesh strainer.
  3. Serve. Pour the lemonade into an ice-filled glass.

Variations

  • Berries – Add a handful of fresh strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries for a fruity twist and a burst of color!
  • Coconut – Swap out half the whole milk for coconut milk to give your lemonade a tropical, creamy flavor.
  • Mint – Muddle a few fresh mint leaves in with the lemons for a refreshing, minty kick.
  • Fresh Herbs – Infuse your cold water with a sprig of rosemary or thyme for an aromatic twist.
  • Vanilla – Add a splash of vanilla extract to the mix for a hint of vanilla sweetness that complements the lemony tang.
  • Lavender – Add a touch of lavender syrup for a floral flavor!
  • Spices – Mix in a pinch of ground ginger or cinnamon for some warm spiciness.
  • Lime – Swap some of the lemons for limes to create a creamy lemon-limeade with an extra zesty punch.

Can I Store Leftovers?

We definitely recommend serving this creamy lemonade immediately but if you need to store it, you can. You may just need to give it another spin in the blender to combine all of the ingredients again.

To refrigerate, store the lemonade in the fridge in a pitcher or airtight container like a mason jar for 2-3 days.

Freeze the lemonade for up to 3 months in a resealable freezer bag or freezer-safe container.
