What is Peach Salad with Mozzarella Pearls?

Our peach Salad with Mozzarella Pearls is a mouthwatering medley of ripe peaches, heirloom tomatoes, spicy jalapenos, Persian cucumbers, and fresh basil, topped with creamy mozzarella pearls. We think this salad is a celebration of summer’s best produce, bringing together sweet, spicy, and savory flavors in every bite!

Then we tie everything together beautifully with a dressing that combines rich olive oil with balsamic vinegar and honey. Perfect for picnics, barbecues, or a light lunch, this salad is destined to become one of your seasonal favorites!

Ingredients You Need

  • Ripe Peaches – These beauties are pitted and cubed for a juicy, sweet foundation to the salad.
  • Heirloom Tomatoes – High-quality tomatoes add a burst of color and tangy flavor.
  • Jalapeno – These are seeded and diced to give the salad a spicy kick. Be sure to dice them evenly so the spice is evenly dispersed in the salad.
  • Persian Cucumbers – These cucumbers add a refreshing crunch to every bite!
  • Fresh Basil Leaves – Basil infuses the salad with aromatic, herbal notes.
  • Mozzarella Pearls – These are little gems of creamy, cheesy goodness!
  • Olive Oil – This oil creates a rich and smooth dressing. You can also use other neutrally flavored oils.
  • Balsamic Vinegar – We love the tangy and slightly sweet depth that balsamic vinegar adds to the dressing.
  • Honey – We use honey for a touch of natural sweetness to balance all the flavors.
  • Salt – Salt makes all of the other ingredients in the dressing pop!
  • Black Pepper – Ground pepper adds subtle heat and depth to the salad.
  • Balsamic Glaze – Just a little drizzle of balsamic glaze gives the salad a sweet finishing touch.

How to Make Peach Salad with Mozzarella Pearls

  1. Combine the Fresh Ingredients. In a large bowl, mix together the peaches, tomatoes, jalapeno, cucumbers, basil, and mozzarella pearls.
  2. Create the Dressing. Add the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper to a separate bowl and stir until completely combined.
  3. Dress the Salad. Add the dressing to the salad, completely coating the fresh ingredients.
  4. Garnish and Serve. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving for an extra burst of flavor.

Variations

  • Avocado – Add diced avocado just before serving for an extra creamy texture and some healthy fats.
  • Feta – For a tangier cheese option, sprinkle on feta instead.
  • Mint – Mint can give the salad a bright, refreshing twist.
  • Protein – To make it a more filling meal, add proteins like chicken or shrimp.

Can I Store Leftovers?

We like this salad served fresh, but you can store leftovers for a short period of time in the fridge. The juicy ingredients may cause the salad to become slightly soggy if stored too long.

To refrigerate, store the salad in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one day.

We don’t recommend freezing because the ingredients do not thaw well.
