Is there anything better to snack on than a homemade creamy dip? We certainly don’t think so! Our roasted red pepper whipped feta is definitely going to become a part of your regular rotation.

How to serve our roasted red pepper feta dip

The flavor of this dip is robust and earthy, making it super versatile! We love to serve this dip with a swirl of olive oil and some extra seasoning on top. Za’atar, sesame seeds, or even everything but the bagel seasoning work well to compliment the flavors of this dip.

Because of the thick texture of this dip, you can serve it on a plate or platter. Alternatively you can serve it in a bowl!

Freshly sliced toasted pita is a great dipping vessel, but you can also serve it with store bought pita chips. For a healthier take, serve it alongside mini bell peppers and cucumbers. Both cucumbers and bell peppers have a fairly neutral flavor to balance out this hearty dip.

Lastly, you don’t even have to serve this as a dip! This creamy concoction is absolutely delicious as a sandwich spread. Just take a couple slices of french bread or sourdough bread and smear this dip on both sides. Add some lettuce, tomato and your favorite lunch meat, and you have upgraded a simple sandwich!

You can also take your sandwich a step in different direction and get more adventurous with your fillings. We think this dip pairs perfectly on a mediterranean style sandwich. Fill your sandwich with roasted eggplant, kalamata olives, arugula and cucumbers. You will not be disappointed!

How to make roasted red peppers

For this recipe, you can either roast the red peppers yourself or use store-bought roasted red peppers. Either way you can’t go wrong!

There are two ways you can roast red peppers. You can roast them directly on your stove top (if you have a fire burning stove) or you can roast them in the oven.

If you are roasting it on the stove top, you will turn your burner onto medium high heat. Place the whole pepper directly on top of the flame. Using heat safe tongs, turn the pepper every minute or two as the skin starts to blacken and bubble. Once all sides are partially blackened and the pepper is soft, remove it and allow to cool in a bowl. At this point you can easily peel the skin and remove the seeds, and now you have roasted red peppers!

For a more hands off approach, you can roast your red peppers in the oven. First you will want to half your peppers and remove the seeds. Place them all open side down on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Set your oven to broil and place the peppers in the oven for 4-6 minutes, keeping a close eye on them when you hit the 4 minute mark. Once the skins start to blacken, you are ready to remove and allow them to cool. Lastly you will peel off the skin and you’re all done!

How to store feta dip

Whether you are making this a couple days in advance of serving, or you simply have leftovers, storing this recipe is straightforward! It will last for 3-4 days in an airtight container in the fridge.

We don’t recommend freezing this dip as the texture will change during the defrosting process.
