Hot Honey Feta Phyllo Rolls

  • 1 box phyllo dough using half, approx. 12 sheets
  • 1/2 (8 ounce) block of feta cheese thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 1/2 stick butter melted
  • Black sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F
  • Lay out half of the phyllo sheets (12 sheets).
    1 box phyllo dough
  • Thinly slice the block of feta cheese.
    1/2 (8 ounce) block of feta cheese
  • Evenly distribute the feta slices on the phyllo sheets.
  • Sprinkle oregano and crushed red pepper over the feta.
    1/2 teaspoon oregano, 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
  • Drizzle the honey on top of the ingredients.
    1 Tablespoon honey
  • Roll up the phyllo sheets with the ingredients into a tight roll, as if making sushi.
  • Cut the rolled phyllo into small pieces.
  • Brush a muffin tin with melted butter, then place the rolled pieces into each muffin tin slot.
  • Brush the tops with the remaining butter and sprinkle black sesame seeds on top.

  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
  • Top with more honey if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
