- 16 ounces elbow macaroni
- 3.5 cups whole milk divided
- 12 ounces evaporated milk
- 16 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 ounces Gouda cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 ounces butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Combine the macaroni, 3 cups milk, evaporated milk, garlic salt, and pepper in the slow cooker. Cover, and cook on high for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove the lid, and stir in the Cheddar and Gouda cheese, sour cream, butter and the remaining milk. Stir well. Cover, and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Adjust seasonings to taste, and serve warm!
