CRUST:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 10 Tablespoons unsalted cold butter
FILLING:
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar firmly packed
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 Tablespoons melted butter
- 1 3/4 cups pecans coarsely chopped
Prepare the Crust:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and grease a 13x9-inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Add 10 tablespoons of cold, unsalted butter to a food processor along with the flour mixture, and pulse until it comes together into a dough.

Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan, forming an even crust.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 18-22 minutes or until it's lightly browned.
Create the Fillling:
While the crust is baking, in a separate bowl, mix together 2/3 cup of firmly packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, and 1 teaspoon of sea salt.

Stir in 1 1/2 cups of light corn syrup until well combined.

In another bowl, lightly beat 4 eggs, and add them to the sugar and corn syrup mixture.

Also, add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and 4 tablespoons of melted butter to the mixture, stirring until everything is well combined.

Stir in 1 3/4 cups of coarsely chopped pecans.

Assemble the Pecan Pie Bars:
Once the crust is ready, remove it from the oven, and immediately pour the pecan mixture over the hot crust.
Return the pan to the oven, and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes or until the filling is set and slightly golden on top. Do not over bake or they will dry out. It should be set but have a very slight "jiggle"
Let the pecan pie bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Once cooled, cut into squares or bars. Refrigerate.
