Whisk the ingredients for the sauce together in a bowl. Then, let it simmer in a saucepan over medium-high heat until it reduces slightly, and set it aside to cool.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and place the salmon on top. Season with salt. Then, fold the sides of the foil around the salmon to create a packet.
Brush the honey garlic glaze on top, and transfer the salmon to a preheated oven. Bake until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit and easily flakes with a fork.
Place the salmon under the broiler for a few minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize. Be careful not to let it burn!
Brush the remaining glaze on top, garnish with fresh cilantro, and enjoy warm.
