Mac and Cheese Garlic Bread

  • 3/4 lb elbow Mac and cheese cooked
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 16 oz sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 16 oz Gouda cheese shredded
  • 8 oz Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp ground Mustard
  • 4 cloves garlic minced, divided
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 loaf Italian bread sliced lengthwise


  • In a big saucepan, melt your butter. Slowly whisk in your flour. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the warm milk into the mixture. Cook on medium heat until sauce thickens, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar, Gouda cheese, smoked paprika, 2 cloves minced garlic, salt and pepper. Stir well until cheese is melted and smooth.
  • In a small bowl combine melted butter, remaining garlic, and salt and pepper. Brush over the bread. Top with mozzarella cheese, Mac and cheese, bacon, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 400 degrees for 10-12 or until bubbly.
