Extra Creamy One Pot Mac and Cheese

This post is in partnership with Creamette®. All opinions are my own.

There is just something about a warm bowl of pasta that always brings togetherness and stories that last. There is a reason the meals we crave include pasta! These types of meals bring people together (even if it is only the people in your home this year). Cooking and enjoying a hearty meal together is the perfect avenue to create quality time. It doesn’t have to be fancy or gourmet, or even take all day to prep. All you need are a few basic ingredients and your own twist- wha la! Your canvas is complete.

Your family is sure to appreciate your home-cooked meal. This recipe is easy enough to make any day of the week, but I personally see it as PERFECT for Thanksgiving. There is not much that beats being gathered around the table, with plenty of yummy food, sitting next to the people that you love the most! True gratefulness.

We’ve shared our favorite recipe below. It’s sure to deem you the hospitality queen this holiday. The key- Creamette® pasta! They know pasta and y’all know you’ve had good pasta and mediocre pasta. It makes a difference in the way it’s able to hold the sauce along with the texture of each noodle. This pasta is essentially Mac & Cheese’s favorite pasta- built to love all the creaminess & cheesiness.

16 oz Creamette® Elbow Macaroni
4 cups whole milk
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup butter, cut into cubes
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated and divided
2 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
1/2 cup cheese crackers, roughly chopped
  1. Add milk, 2 cups water and salt to large high-sided pot. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add pasta and cook covered for 8 to 10 minutes or until pasta is al-dente and most of the liquid has evaporated. Remove from heat.
  2. Add Cheddar, mozzarella, butter, garlic powder, paprika and pepper. Stir until cheese melts and sauce is smooth and creamy. Stir in half the grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Top with crushed crackers
  4. Garnish with remaining Parmesan cheese and chives.
Tip:  Substitute the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses for your favorite cheese~

This recipe is so creamy and cheesy, it’s going to be your new favorite recipe! We put a twist on the classic to make it our own by adding a cheddar cracker crust for a great crunch! Get creative- try the crackers or test out other options and see which is your family’s favorite!

We grew up eating Creamette Pasta, during the holidays mom always had a pasta dish on the table. We still do that to this day, with our own families.  This recipe is perfect for the holidays, it’s easy and requires very few dishes to clean up (bonus!). We love to get the kids involved in making dinner, which is such a great way to get everyone to help! Plus, what is a Thanksgiving meal without Mac ‘n Cheese! This recipe is so versatile you can add your choice of protein and veggies, feel free to get creative! We’ve made it easy and all you have to do is click here to add Creamette pasta to your cart at Walmart. If you don’t want to shop in-person, don’t worry, ordering online and picking up is just as easy! We can’t wait to hear what you create!
