Double Chocolate SunButter Skillet


  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • cup organic cane sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup smooth SunButter 
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1 1/2 cups organic all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups caramel or white chocolate chips, divided


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, cream butter and both sugars together. Add SunButter, beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, add vanilla extract. Sift in your flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in 1 cup dark chocolate chips.

Spread half the cookie dough in a 10-12 inch cast iron skillet. Add 1 cup caramel chips. Add remaining dough. Top with remaining dark chocolate and caramel chips. Bake for 20-25 minutes. (Bake for a full 25 minutes if you prefer a more cooked through cookie. 20 minutes will give you a gooier cookie.)
