Cookies ‘n Cream Pastry Braid

 

 

Recipe:

  • 1 frozen puff pastry,
  • 1 large chocolate bar
  • 8 Oreo cookies
  • 1 egg
  • Icing
  1. Thaw dough according to package instructions.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  3. Unroll thawed dough and place the chocolate bar in the center.
  4. Make cuts along the edges of the dough on each side. Approx 6-8 strips.
  5. Remove the cream center of the Oreos and place over the chocolate.
  6. Fold the top and the bottom ends over the chocolate, then cross the side strips over each other to make the braid.
  7. Beat egg and brush over the pastry.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until top is golden brown.
  9. Crush the Oreo cookies.
  10. Top with icing and crushed Oreos.
  11. Eat warm while chocolate is gooey!
